About Us

In 1989, Gerald Hanson relocated to Western Wisconsin with his wife Edwina and their four sons from the east coast. He established Prompt Action to increase income from his modest bus driving job. After many years of hard work, Gerald was able to grow a successful business and sustain it for his sons. Gerald was raised in the vicinity of Maiden Rock, a small town located near the Mississippi River. Growing up in a small town on a farm and serving in the United States Air Force for four years during the Vietnam conflict shaped him into a humble, hardworking husband and father.

Gerald, the founder of Prompt Action, has over 45 years of experience in the pest control industry. He started his career in pest control while serving in the Air Force. Before starting his own company, he worked in various roles for a large pest control company, including technician trainer, branch manager, and regional manager. In 2018, Gerald became Edwina’s full-time caregiver as her health declined. However, he has always sought new products and services to serve his customers better. Currently, Prompt Action Pest Control is operated and owned by his four sons.
